The Meco Company has been in business for 45 years and is based in Tennessee. They produce top of the line electric grills and smokers. Lke gas grills, they don’t use actual charcoal although they are called Meco charcoal grills.
The grills come in table top and cart styles and offer temperature control so that you can cook one steak rare and one well done. Using standard 120 volt plugs, they can be used almost anywhere. The tabletop model can also be used vertically with a rotisserie.
Meco also offers smokers and combination grills and smokers. These are also electric and have chambers for water and flavored wood chips when smoking. The combination model can be used just like a regular charcoal grill. There is a food view window in the lid so you can keep watch on the food without constantly opening the lid.
The Meco company still manufactures traditional charcoal grills. These are also very high quality, well constructed grills and will last a lifetime when properly cared for. There are also accessories available for all the Meco products. Grill covers, recipe books, rib racks, and drip pans, to name a few may be purchased to customize your grill.
If you hate fussing with charcoal and fuels, the Meco electric charcoal grill may be for you. If you’re a traditionalist, the Meco charcoal grill will fill the bill.
