Charcoal Grills

Grant Hastings was a pioneer in the industry of backyard barbeques. He produced the Hasty-Bake Charcoal Oven in 1948. It was the first portable, hooded grill and used indirect heat to cook the food.

The company has undergone many changes in its history but the basic design of the grill remains essentially the same. The adjustable fire box allows you to grill, smoke, or bake your food. The v shaped grates and grease drain system eliminate flare ups for the most part.

There is a built in thermometer to allow you to maintain the proper temperature and a removeable heat deflector. The hood is ventless and this allows smoke and heat to circulate around the food.

These grills are hand made with the best quality materials. With proper care, they last an incredible 15-20 years. The solid stainless steel models will last forever.

This top of the line grill represented the U.S. at the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958 and is praised by chefs and cookbook authors for its superior cooking results. If you have watched any of the ultimate barbeque competitions, its likely a Hasty-Bake charcoal grill was used by many competitors.
